A family-operated taste of authentic street-style Mexican fare served from a vibrant food truck just off Sorrento Road, Hector’s Mexican Grill has quickly become a local favorite. Their menu features a wide array of dishes, including birria, shrimp, and California burritos, classic tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and hearty burrito bowls. Appetizers like chips & salsa, queso blanco, and loaded nachos round out the menu. Customers appreciate the bold flavors, generous portions, and friendly service, often praising the “best burrito bowl” and standout seafood-style tacos like their “Perdido Key Tacos”—three shrimp tacos crowned with pico, guacamole, crema, and queso fresco.

Best quesobirria tacos I’ve ever had. The consommé was balanced and nuanced. Was that anise and clove in there? We ordered three tacos. I could have eaten fifty of them. Friendly and clean. Fast service. Run by actual Hispanic people. Me gusta.

Ordered the burrito and must say it was the best, most flavorful, thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’m not sure about the other menu items but that was absolutely insane so I felt obligated to share.

Just a food truck so it’s eat in your car. There is a small common table with an umbrella.. Take a look at my pics and I think you’ll agree they don’t look very appetizing, but they were really good. I had the enchiladas. The red sauce looked like brown sauce yet the flavor was yummy. I do think the enchiladas were fried a bit too long. The refried beans were really thick and tasted good. Hubs said the shrimp tacos were ok, said he wouldn’t order again.

Delicious, fresh, and flavorful! We ordered the loaded street tacos with ribeye steak, and the chicken fajita street nachos. Both were very good and large enough portions that we could share. I do wish the nachos had queso instead of shredded cheese but that’s just my personal preference.

Holy moly! This was some of the best food I’ve had in ages. Better Mexican food than I’ve had in Mexico. We got the Birria tacos and they were so amazing we ate them all before we could remember to take a picture. Incredibly friendly service and lovely outside atmosphere with a palm tree lined walkway around a small pond for a postprandial stroll. Grab a Jarritos or Aguas Frescas for that authentic experience. You don’t want to miss this spot!
