I was thrown off a bit by the “snowballs “ down the street and was expecting more finely shaved ice. We came across Vampire Penguin after and decided to try it out. I’ve never had such, fluffy shaved ice and did not know it was even possible! It was so light and airy, but packed with flavor. We got both a chocolate flavor and a cotton candy flavor. I am the cotton candy fan and thought the flavor was great, without it being too sweet, even with the sweet cream. I also tried the chocolate flavor which is part of the Peanut Butter Cup combo. I’m not a chocolate fan, but I think it had a good taste and could eat the whole dish if anyone offered it to me.
Both of the shaved ices were balanced well and not overloaded on only toppings, which I appreciate. Enough to eat the toppings along with the shaved ice without it feeling like it’s overloaded.
